Tree spinach, or Chaya, is native to Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico. Although you may have never heard of this large, leafy perennial shrub before, it is praised for its many health benefits.

Chaya Tea Recipe
- Six Chaya leaves
- Two cups of water
Boil the water, add the Chaya leaves, and let it simmer for ten minutes. There’s your Chaya tea. When it comes to the method of consumption, drink a cup of this tea three times a day, preferably before meals.
Besides tea, you can also add Chaya leaves in salads, soups, and creams, as long as they’re well washed before usage.
